NoHungerHere was created at the start of the pandemic when so many of our community members needed meals they couldn’t afford. We continue today making hot nourishing meals that we deliver to folks in need. We believe that everyone deserves a meal and we believe that food is love. When you donate EVERY penny goes to buy food that our volunteer chefs then use to make delicious meals.

SEEDS OF HOPE

NoHungerHere is committing to providing a hot nutritious meal for hundreds of community members facing food challenges at the Seeds for Hope luncheon sponsored by the city of San Rafael. This event brings together more than fifty providers and hundreds of volunteers offering everything from free hair cuts to free vet care. The lunch started with 65 attendees and our November 6, 2023 lunch had over 300 people come through the doors. NoHungerHere is designated at 501(c) (3) charity by the Internal Revenue Service.   • Giving Thanks Together on Thanksgiving

    Thanks to your generous donations we were able to provide a beautiful Thanksgiving meal for our friends at the SSA. The meal was set-up and served by an amazing crew of volunteers. We served a lovely buffet lunch of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, brussels sprouts & squash and pumpkin pie with whipped cream. We made everything from scratch with food purchased with your donations. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving.

  • Thank you to our generous friends

    Our amazing friends at AM Party Rentals donated tables and chairs for our Thanksgiving feast scheduled for Thanksgiving Day. They didn’t even hesitate when I asked for help. THANK YOU Susan, Arnold and the entire AM family.

  • Food Made with Love

    Every week we create a “made from scratch” meal and deliver it hot to the folks living at the SSA. This week was beef stew, cornbread and an oatmeal cookie.

  • Helping Hands

    This group of volunteer nursing students came with hot tea and snacks and medical check ups. The SSA offers gives advocates the opportunity to provide MUCH needed services to this vulnerable folks.

Past Effort: Currently we are partnering with the support groups to prepare and deliver food to individuals living in an SSA (Service Support Area) near 5th street in San Rafael. 40 individuals are living in this temporary area in tents donated by the city. We need $960 per month to buy the food needed to make meals once a week for these individuals.
